The Creative co-op is creating an installation for the New Britain Museum of Art.  The opening reception is Dec. 4th from 5:30 – 8.  The theme is “You Better Not Pout.”  We will have a full sized soft sculptured woman, with one child clinging to her leg and a baby in her arms.  She will have all sorts of Christmas paraphernalia surrounding her and hanging from her.  Including, shopping bags, wrapping supplies, Christmas card list, shopping list, cookie sheets, rolling pin, roasting pan, cell phone, cleaning supplies, recipes etc.  Women get the concept immediately; men do not get the concept until you explain it to them and then they want to know what the big deal is about getting ready for Christmas.

“Marketing your art work” will be the topic of a program that I will be giving to the Tolland Country Art Association (tollandcountryart.org) on Feb. 9th at 7:00.  The public is invited.  The association meets in the center of Tolland (Rt. 195) at the end of the green.  I have a degree in Marketing and I attend classes and lectures on a regular basis to keep up with new trends in marketing art and crafts.

The public is invited.  The association meets in the center of Tolland (Rt. 195) at the end of the green.  I have a degree in Marketing and I attend classes and lectures on a regular basis to keep up with new trends in marketing art and crafts. 

I will have a one woman showing at the Wood Memorial Library from March 1 to April 12th, with and opening reception on Friday March 5th from 5 – 7pm.  I will be displaying automotive as well as landscapes and floral paintings for the exhibit.  The library is located at 783 Main St. in South Windsor, CT.  This is just a magnificent gem of a building that has been meticulously maintained.  It contains antiques, paintings, a bird collection as well as books.  The phone # is 860-289-1783. 

I will be having a one woman showing at the Westfield Athenaeum’s ‘Jasper Rand Art Museum in the month of July.  The Athenaeum is located at 6 Elm St., Westfield, MA.  The hours are Mon – Thurs. 8:30 – 8 and Friday from 8:30 – 5.  The museum and library are closed on Saturdays during the months of July and August.
